Registration for fall soccer is starting later this month, please contact the JVF if your child would be interested in participating!Roughly a year ago our leadership informed the planet that we planned to launch a free, high quality, statewide lacrosse league.The idea did not take, many people thought we were crazy, we heard the chatter.While everyone was talking, we were working, for a year straight, to create the lacrosse competition of our dreams.We didn't forsee a global pandemic, and the cancelation of the high school season, that happening elevated the importance of the league, it went from an awesome idea to an event of historic scale.The athletes, the coaches, and the volunteers faced enough adversity to knock over a building this summer, A complete lack of covid-19 testing resources, gender discrimination, tropical storms, and oh by the way, a global pandemic.Despite all of this, the athletes and the families never wavered, they all were given about 1000 reasons to say "thank you JVF, this was a great idea, but we think we are going to opt out".They didn't do that, they believed in us, and rocked with the vision to the end.The dust has settled, the Dream League was a smashing sucess, it inspired the media, politicians, and most importantly, younger girls that watched this new competition in amazement all summer, and made it clear to our staff that they plan to play 4 years from now, 3 years from now, 5 years from now, the athletes have created a genuine legacy, this dream is going to live forever.The parents deserve a ton of credit, many of them didn't even know what the JVF was, but they showed up, they cheered, they supported, and they deserve our gratitude.Well girls, it seems we have created something that has taken on a moumentum of it's own, we are SO excited to see what the next Dream League will look like during the summer of 2021!
