The author did it perfectly though by giving us a fully realized action arc to get us invested before del.This was a good one, but it didn't have as much action. This volume is actually pretty neat because we get a better look at what it takes to become a soldier in this world. After all the action we are back to point zero. I found it very interesting, if not overly exciting. Characters continue to annoy--Eren is constantly riled up and angry, and Jean and Eren are always fighting for no real explained reason--and when the flashback abruptly ends, we're left trying to remember what the heck was going on before it started.This was a good volume, although I found the flashbacks to be a nuisance. It doesn't work this way.This was a good one, but it didn't have as much action.
